Taka,

Awsome! great to know i'm not the only greenhorn in the group. I've gone to one trancever practice with some of the ACC people and had a great time. I am absolutly down to get out there as much as possible. My schedule is a little busier now, but I still have lots of free time. You live in Whistler then? Why dont we plan a ski day or at least grab some drinks?

Hi Kimble,

I am also new to both backcountry skiing and the Alpine Club, spending the winter in Whistler from Japan. Most ACC trips are scheduled on weekends, so if you want to do some mid-week backcountry trips on top, pls let me know. I would like to get to know people to go touring with.

Thanks,
Taka...

Check your inbox for a message from one of us!

Either an Alpine or Emerald Bus will take you to the first entrance of Alpine. Hope off the bus there and take the road east of Hwy 99N for 400m to the school.

Practice starts at 5:30 p.m. in the playfield behind the school....

For fear of being mocked in Brigitte's blog as someone that tours frequently but doesn't practice transceiver rescue often :P I was wondering if there was a transceiver rodeo happening this week?

Cheers!...

Thanks for the warm welcome! I had a great time learning more about my transceiver and rescue techniques a few nights ago. I am still pretty confused how to read the up coming trips and how to potentially get on one. Is anyone heading out for a day trip that wouldn't mind me coming? I'm super excited to get out there!...
