Good "Intro to Ski Touring" day today in the Flute and Lesser Flute areas. We found a melt-freeze crust at the surface from 1700m up on many aspects, but it was really only annoying on northern aspects that had been stripped by northerly outflows. East aspects below ridgetop were actually quite skiable if there was tree cover about. Many hard slabs in the alpine.

Air temps -15C at 1425 hrs at 1750m. Snow surface temp -17C; temp 10cm down -10.8. Foot pen 20cm; Ski pen 15cm. Winds strong out of the North. 195cm height of snow.

Meadow-skipping not bad.

Should work if you make a new album and upload into that, then can link them here.

Test

Seems gallery linking doesnt work, but direct linking does.
