Hopefully our new season will present us with fewer challenges than last winter season did. We have our first "winter" trip on the schedule, following up on last months successful work camp on the FSR access to our summer trailhead to the Wendy Thompson Hut.
On 091111, Remembrance Day, volunteers are welcomed to come and help with some of the early winter tasks for the Wendy Thompson Hut. We are hoping that the forecasters are right, and there will be some snow to head in on on that day. Interested parties can contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. And keep praising ULLR...It's going to snow...
Well, the few groups that have headed out for tours this spring have noted the interesting snow conditions that have plagued the Coast this year. With warming temperatures, watching for solar radiation and isothermal snowpack becomes a larger concern. With PWL's buried under a seasonal snowpack, isothermal snowpacks will be likely to go big and run far.
Please see the laterst proposed trip on the calendar for Saturday, April 25th. A mellow tour on the local Bumps...
